Border "Guardians" Partner with Supremacists and Advocate Violence Against Immigrants
Wednesday May 17, 2006
A recent Southern Poverty Law Center Intelligence Project Report details the activities of a notorious anti-immigration leader - Laine Lawless - who, according to circulating emails deemed "Racially and Religiously privileged, intended for specific Aryan recipients only," has been urging the nation's largest neo-Nazi group to launch a campaign of violence against undocumented workers.
Outlined in the email are 11 ways to harass and terrorize undocumented immigrants; suggestions include physical assault, robbing them as they leave banking and check cashing facilities, discouraging Spanish-speaking children from attending school, and being creative about ways to make them "feel the heat of being a person without status."
During an April press conference, which preceded the burning of a Mexican flag in front of the Mexican Consulate in Tuscon, Lawless stated that Border Guardians "are committed to practice only peaceful, lawful action in defense of our country." However, new evidence generated by the emails, which began circulating just six days prior to this statement, revealed a different agenda: "There are several tactics, some legal and some not-so," she wrote. "Sabotage the things they like: entertainment, food, beer... . BRAVO to the person who cut down the Spanish language radio station towers just North of Phoenix! Now that sends a message!"
Civil Liberties Guide, Tom Head, has more on this subject, along with other equally disturbing examples of violence and racism in the anti-immigrant movement (e.g. a new online video game that encourages players to score points by shooting pregnant Hispanic women and their children as they attempt to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.)

not immigrants, but, illegal aliens, those that have entered this country illegally.
american flags were and are burned by illgal aliens in los angeles,
I am surprised that this is the only response you had to this post. Just so that you’re aware, whether they are here illegally or not, they are still immigrants. Don’t take my word for it, ask Webster.
If the only thing these people did was burn flags, I would not be disgusted. Violence should not be applauded nor encouraged. It is such a shame that this woman, who apparently has the charisma to lead many, has chosen to use her talents on less than noble causes.
